Long An province organizes a working delegation to promote investment, trade and survey the market in Japan.
Regarding the working program, the delegation is expected to visit and pay courtesy visits to the Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan and the Vietnamese Consul General in Osaka; organize a number of investment promotion activities and work directly with Japanese agencies, organizations, associations, and large corporations in the fields of high-tech agriculture, supporting industries, high technology, etc. that the province is interested in attracting investment and survey and learn from the experience of a number of works, projects, traffic infrastructure, modern urban areas, and healthcare to study and apply for development in the province.
In particular, during the working program in Japan, the delegation will attend the "Vietnam - Japan Trade and Investment Promotion Forum 2023" in Tokyo on September 13, 2023 and the "Vietnam - Japan Trade and Investment Promotion Forum (Kansai)" in Osaka on September 15, 2023, organized by VCCI in coordination with partners. These are two important investment and trade promotion events in many fields for the province to introduce and promote the environment and investment opportunities in the province with the participation of more than 200 delegates who are business leaders, including many large Japanese enterprises and corporations that are interested in and looking for investment opportunities in Vietnam in general and Long An in particular.
Currently, Long An has received about 1,202 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over 10.458 billion USD. Of which, Japanese investors have about 142 projects, with registered investment capital of over 795.4 million USD, ranking 4th in the number of projects and 5th in total investment capital out of 40 countries and territories investing in the province.
The investment promotion program in Japan is a continuation of the series of activities under the 2023 Investment Promotion Program of Long An province and activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations of the province; It is expected that after the working trip, Long An province will continue to welcome the investment wave of Japanese investors to research the market, seek cooperation and investment opportunities in the province, especially large corporations with high technology, modernity, and environmental friendliness, contributing to economic growth and sustainable development of Long An province./.
