Specifically, the investment project to build Ring Road 4 through Long An province has a total length of about 78.3 km, of which a 3.8 km section is located in Ho Chi Minh City. The starting point of the route is at Thay Cai canal, located on the border between Cu Chi district (Ho Chi Minh City) and Duc Hoa district (Long An province), and the end point is at Hiep Phuoc port area, Nha Be district, Ho Chi Minh City, connecting to the North-South axis.
The investment scale in the completion phase includes an expressway with 8 lanes, a design speed of 100 km/h, along with parallel roads on both sides, each side has at least 2 lanes, a design speed of 60 km/h. In phase 1, the project will invest in a 4-lane expressway with a speed of 100 km/h, along with parallel roads in sections that overlap with existing roads.
The project includes 27 intersections, including 10 interchanges, 16 direct interchanges and 1 entry and exit point. In phase 1, 7 interchanges and 14 direct interchanges will be invested, along with 1 entry and exit point.
Site clearance will be carried out on a full scale, ensuring space for 8 expressway lanes and parallel roads, along with supporting facilities such as service stations, toll stations, interchanges, and level crossings.

Unanimously, the Beltway 4 project through Long An will be a standard expressway.
The Long An Provincial People's Committee has agreed to choose the option of building Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 through the province as a 25.5m wide expressway. In particular, along this expressway there will be a rest stop combined with a 10ha commercial and service area.
In order to facilitate traffic and promote local economic development and to synchronize with other provinces and cities on the route, including Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City.
The bridges on the route will be arranged in a 2-unit style, each unit is 12.25m wide. In particular, the road section from after Can Giuoc Bridge to the border of Long An province and Ho Chi Minh City, 5.7km long, will be built on high ground.
