The 2nd National Urban Planning Award (VUPA 2020)

The National Urban Planning Award (VUPA) is organized every 2 years by the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association (VUPDA), with the consent and support of the Prime Minister, and the patronage of the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). The award aims to honor organizations, businesses, and individuals with outstanding contributions to the planning and development of urban areas and rural residential areas in Vietnam, as well as to enhance the position and role of urban planning and development management.

Mr. Ha Thanh Tra - Representative of IMG Phuoc Dong received the Silver prize of the competition.

The 2nd National Urban Planning Award launched in 2020 attracted the participation of 184 works nationwide. The clear increase in both quantity and quality of the entries compared to the first time in 2018 shows that the award continues to attract the attention and support of many experts in particular and the public in general.

Outstandingly surpassing many other projects, Phuoc Dong Port Industrial Park won the Silver Prize of the program

The entries to the VUPA 2020 competition were selected and judged according to 5 categories, including: Category A for Construction Planning Projects, Category B for Areas that have been invested in and constructed, Category C for Planning Publications, Category D for Organizations and individuals participating in urban development management, excellent rural residential areas, and Category E for Urban Environmental Quality.

To receive the award, the works must demonstrate uniqueness in creative ideas; be scientific and practical; exploit well the landscape, climate, historical - cultural - social characteristics; save resources; have a strategy for developing architectural space, landscape, and appropriate infrastructure systems; ensure human living environment; develop urban areas and rural residential areas in a sustainable - green - smart direction and adapt to climate change.

Notably, this year is the first time a project from Long An province has participated and won the prize in the category of areas that have been invested and built, which is Phuoc Dong Port Industrial Park. To win this Silver prize, in addition to the above criteria, Phuoc Dong Port Industrial Park must also meet the requirements of infrastructure that is invested and built according to the plan, ensuring quality of use, and being satisfied and highly appreciated by the urban government and the community in the area.

Phuoc Dong Port Industrial Park - A magnet attracting many secondary investors in the Southern key economic region

Located on an industrial land area of ​​128.8 hectares, Phuoc Dong Port Industrial Park has a favorable geographical location both by waterway when it borders the Vam Co River for more than 3km and the wharf is located in the industrial park belonging to the national seaport system; and by road when provincial road 826B connects with national highway 50 connecting Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta provinces passing through the project.

Phuoc Dong Port Industrial Park is located on the strategic Vam Co River.

Phuoc Dong Port Industrial Park includes industrial land, pre-built factories, custom-built factories and warehouses. In which, pre-built factories are invested in a methodical design, logical layout and arrangement, helping to optimize production and convenient storage of goods. The industrial park is also planned in a green - clean - high-tech direction, using rooftop solar power with a total capacity of 32MW, along with an environmentally friendly wastewater treatment system with a capacity of 3000m3/day and night.

Currently, the project has complete legal documents and land use right certificates for each location, making it an attractive destination for investors who require simplicity and transparency in administrative procedures. The site clearance of the industrial park has reached 100%, the wastewater treatment plant, technical infrastructure, traffic, operator house, fences have been completely built, fully connected to electricity in accordance with the granted construction permit and meet the standards for receiving secondary investors.
