IMG JSC provides meals during Covid-19 pandemic
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began putting thousands out of work, IMG JSC and Lam Thien Hoang JSC came up with an idea of a providing free food for poor people.
At around 10 o'clock every day, many disadvantaged people come to the ATHENA Office Building, at 146-148 Cong Hoa Street, Ward 12, Tan Binh District to receive free meals.
Mrs. Cao Thuy Ha (52 years old from Ha Giang province) had been working as a bricklayer in Tan Binh District, but due to the social distancing campaign the Government has ordered to stop all the construction, she lost her job and her husband too is unemployed, she said. Hearing from her neighbor about the charity, she said she hastened to get some free foods for her and her family.
People in the queue maintained a distance of two metres from each other.
The charity is expected to continue until the pandemic subsides.
The idea of serving charity meals comes from the sympathy with people in difficult circumstances in society. Besides, it is impossible not to mention the help of IMG staffs and Lam Thien Hoang JSC, who still contribute to weaving beautiful stories that spread love to the community.
