Recently, on the occasion of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival 2024, the People’s Committee of Quang Nham commune, A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province coordinated with IMG Hue Investment Joint Stock Company to organize the charity program ”Light up your footsteps” for children in Quang Nham commune.
Quang Nham is a particularly difficult border commune in A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province. In recent times, with the attention of local authorities and Party committees, Quang Nham commune has made certain steps of socio-economic development, but the proportion of poor and near-poor households is still high, and people mainly live on slash-and-burn farming.
Many children from households with particularly difficult circumstances do not have enough conditions for food and accommodation, and many have had to temporarily put aside their dreams of education at a young age. The program "Lighting up your footsteps" aims to raise awareness and responsibility of families, communities, and mass organizations for the protection, care, and education of children, ensuring equal rights for all children to participate in recreational activities and social activities. At the same time, it helps children understand more about traditional cultural festivals, promote the spirit of solidarity and sharing, thereby contributing to preserving and promoting the traditional values of the nation.
In the program, the sponsor presented 240 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts (including: Mid-Autumn Festival candies, toys, etc.) to children in especially difficult circumstances in the commune; 50 scholarships for primary school students with excellent academic achievements in the 2023-2024 school year.
IMG Hue's Board of Directors awarded scholarships to outstanding students of A Luoi District.
IMG Hue sponsored 12 solar lights to support A Luoi District in implementing the model "Lighting up your footsteps".
