IMG Award – For the Cause of Education: Honoring Outstanding Teachers and Talented Students of VNU 2025

On October 31, 2025, at Hoa Lac, within the framework of the 2025 Annual Conference on Education and Scientific Research, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) held the IMG Award Ceremony – For the Cause of Education.

Spreading Knowledge – A Journey Accompanying Education
The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Minh Son, Director of VNU; Dr. Le Tu Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IMG Investment JSC, Chairman of the IMG Foundation; along with university leaders, distinguished lecturers, and excellent students of VNU.
With a total prize value of 900 million VND, the award recognized two outstanding scientists and two talented students. This marks the third consecutive year that the IMG Foundation – For the Cause of Education has been implemented at VNU, continuing to promote humanistic values and encourage intellectuals and young talents of Vietnam’s leading university.
Honoring Exemplary Educators – Shining with Knowledge and Dedication
According to Decision No. 3496/QĐ-ĐHQGHN dated July 7, 2025,

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Manh Tri, from the University of Science, won First Prize (500 million VND).

Prof. Dr. Đang Hoang Minh, from the University of Education, received Second Prize (200 million VND).

“The IMG Award marks a special milestone in my teaching and research career,” said by Dr. Tri.
“I believe that partnerships with enterprises like the IMG Foundation will inspire scientists to innovate and contribute more to the nation.”
Prof. Dr. Dang Hoang Minh, Director of the Institute for Clinical Research in Social – Psychological – Educational Studies, was granted the Professor title in 2023 and named Outstanding Teacher of 2024 by the Ministry of Education and Training. With over 90 scientific publications, she exemplifies dedication, responsibility, and creativity in education. She represented Vietnam’s teaching community at a national meeting with General Secretary To Lam on November 20, 2024, where she spoke on behalf of educators about the role of intellectuals in educational reform.

“This is a prestigious award that honors VNU’s educators and scientists,” said by Prof. Minh.
“I am proud to be chosen among many outstanding colleagues. It’s both an honor and a responsibility. I will continue to devote my best efforts to meet the trust and expectations of the VNU community.”

Lead author of an international paper at KSE 2023, co-author of a Q1 journal paper in Computers & Security, and author of the book Mathematics Through the Eyes of a Programmer (2022)

Winner of First and Second Prizes at the University Student Research Conference (2023–2024), representing a new generation of dynamic and innovative VNU students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Tu Minh, Chairman of IMG Group, shared:
“As an alumnus of VNU, I always feel deep gratitude toward my teachers and university years. My aspiration is to contribute something meaningful to future generations. IMG’s partnership with VNU is not merely sponsorship – it is our mission to nurture knowledge and sow seeds for the future.”
