On July 12, 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Planning Information Center, in collaboration with MHL Investment Joint Stock Company – a member of IMG Group – hosted the Announcement and Award Ceremony for the International Architectural Design Competition for the land plot at 448 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Xom Chieu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
After nearly two months of launch, the competition attracted numerous renowned architectural consulting firms from around the world. A total of 14 proposals were submitted, showcasing exceptional creativity and professional expertise. These proposals were presented before a prestigious jury composed of leading domestic and international experts in architecture, urban planning, and construction.
The First Prize was awarded to P&T Consultants Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Singapore) for a design highly praised for its balanced integration of aesthetic value, feasibility, sustainability, and harmony with the urban landscape. The proposal features a modern spirit while preserving cultural context, climatic relevance, and planning principles — contributing to the diversity and uniqueness of Ho Chi Minh City's urban architecture.
Following the competition, the developer — IMG and MHL — will collaborate with the winning firm to develop detailed designs, prepare legal documentation, and commence construction. The goal is to build a premium residential, commercial, and service complex — an iconic project that will serve as a new architectural highlight and help reshape the urban landscape of Southern Ho Chi Minh City.
